This client came to us with the wish to restore his Mercedes W108 280SE to it's former glory. The car was used as his wedding car. After inspection we saw that the car was in good condition and received a lot of love from it's owner. Especially the interior was in an immaculate condition. Some points that needed attention in our opinion were perished belts and rust on the sills, trunk and doors. We ordered a set of original sills. The old sills were removed and the new ones were made to fit an modified so that they could easily be welded in to place. The trunk was also made rust free. We also installed 4 new doors and 2 new front fenders. All the new metal work was coated. The car is repainted in the original white and everything was installed back with new mounting hardware. The worn belts were replaced to make sure the engine could drive lots of safe miles. The old shock absorbers gave a lot of body roll, so these were replaced with original replacement shocks and springs by Bilstein. The tires were very old, so we replaced them with brand new Nokian tires, so the Mercedes could handle the corners with confidence with his new shocks, springs and tires.
