A clogged DPF is in most cases the result of a problem and not the problem itself. The cause is often a faulty EGR, poor fuel, leaking injectors. That's why we often look at what could have caused the faulty DPF before we remove it.
This fairly new Peugeot Partner already got a clogged particle filter after a few months. The dealer wanted to replace the filter for the customer BUT with a price tag and he could not promise the customer that the filter wouldn't get clogged again. Then he found us on internet and we said that we could solve his problems and wanted to take a look at the car.
Once the car was at our shop us we gave it a thorough check over together with the customer. During this inspection we asked him where he refueled his car and gave us an answer that immediately told the cause why the DPF was clogged.
We cleaned the injectors and gave the customer the advice to stop refueling his car at his current pump. Then we removed the DPF and emptied it. Everything was re-installed and the DPF was removed out of the software.
After a test drive with better diesel the customer noticed that the car didn't feel so lazy and picked up better. The error from the DPF was gone and we could guarantee him that the error will never show again.
