More and more people choose to buy an "ECO car" because of the environment and sell their older car, or just for fiscal reasons. These ECO cars are often hybrids or have a small gasoline / diesel engine. These smaller engines don't have that much power and this can turn into a sore point for many people after a while. That's why we at KCPerformance develop chiptuning software for these cars, thanks to their turbo you can still accomplish a nice gain in performance.

This Fiat Punto Evo came to us with the desire to become more reliable and faster. The 1.3 JTD Multijet is a very economical engine, fortunatly we can still squeeze some more power within the tolerance of the manufacturer. First we removed the diesel particle filter so the exhaust gasses have less resistance and the owner will never run into big costs because of a clogged DPF filter. We also closed the EGR valve so no exhaust gasses can flow through the intake manifold, this way the manifold can not clog up with soot and the engine will only breathe clean air. To get the most out of all of these changes we uploaded our KCPerformance chiptune to the car's computer and raised the power of the engine to 118hp and 256Nm. This is a nice boost compared to the standard output of 85hp and 200Nm.

Finally the Punto Evo transformed into a smooth, economical and reliable ECO car. For these reasons the client was very satisfied with the work we performed.
